Welcome to Warkworth Country House

Warkworth Country House

We invite you to enjoy peaceful Bed and Breakfast accommodation at Warkworth Country House. Relax and enjoy the sound of native bird life, especially tuis, which are abundant in our two acres of garden and bush. Our native bush includes totara, puriri and native ferns.

Situated on the edge of the historic township, Warkworth Country House has sheep and cows as neighbours and views over the Mahurangi Estuary.

Warkworth is the ideal place for a peaceful and relaxing weekend getaway, just 45 minutes north of the harbour bridge. We are only a three minute drive into Warkworth township (an easy 20 minute walk down the hill and a more testing hike back uphill afterwards). The township is situated on the Mahurangi river with boardwalks alongside. Cafes, art galleries and shops close at hand.

A warm welcome awaits you on arrival.

"Good morning Alan and Linley

We'd like to say a BIG thank you for the enjoyable stay we had with you on 1-3 July. We can't fault anything. Linley, your breakfasts are done to perfection and your home baking and home-made marmalade were delicious and all portions were generous. Alan, thank you for inviting us to watch that big rugby match with you as I'm sure you could tell we're not into raucous pub crowds. Thank you for paying attention to every detail, from the booking stage, answering all our questions about where to eat, what to do to providing guests with every need in a very comfortable room. It was scrupulously clean, quiet and very private with it's own entry. We also spotted a huge wood pigeon in your beautiful garden. It was nice to have a safe parking spot too. We will most definitely stay again if we're back in your area and highly recommend your home to everyone."
